Net FDI inflow into Albania rises 6% in 2024
The inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) in Albania rose to 1.58 billion euro last year, compared to 1.50 billion euro in 2023, central bank data showed.
In the fourth quarter alone, FDI into Albania rose to 423.1 million euro, from 394 million euro in the prior-year period, the central bank said in a quarterly data release.
Compared to the previous quarter, the net inflow of FDI into Albania rose 3% in the October-December period.
The largest investor in Albania in the quarter under review was Netherlands, with 58 million euro, followed by the Turkey, with 52.5 million euro, and Italy with 51.9 million euro.
The sectors which attracted the biggest volume of investment by non-residents in the review period were real estate with 110 million euro and financial and insurance activities with 81 million euro.
