{"id":6851,"date":"2026-09-21T08:59:03","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T05:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/relinvestmentsgroup.com\/?p=6851"},"modified":"2026-09-23T09:02:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T06:02:02","slug":"suverennyj-fond-katara-sozdaet-podrazdelenie-dlya-vnutrennih-investitsij","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/relinvestmentsgroup.com\/en\/suverennyj-fond-katara-sozdaet-podrazdelenie-dlya-vnutrennih-investitsij\/","title":{"rendered":"Qatar wealth fund sets up domestic investment division"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), a US$580 billion sovereign wealth fund, has set up a dedicated division to manage its domestic investments as the Gulf state seeks to strengthen local companies and attract more private capital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The move creates a clearer distinction between QIA\u2019s domestic investments and its extensive overseas portfolio, the wealth fund says in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Called Doha Investment, the division will initially oversee 45 state-owned enterprises representing about one-third of QIA\u2019s total assets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Its mandate includes strengthening existing national companies, creating new businesses and supporting privatisation, while encouraging greater private sector participation and attracting foreign capital and expertise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sheikh Faisal Thani Al Thani, Qatar\u2019s commerce and industry minister, has been appointed as managing director and vice chairman of Doha Investment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Established in 2005, QIA invests Qatar\u2019s hydrocarbon wealth across global markets and asset classes.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), a US$580 billion sovereign wealth fund, has set up a dedicated division to manage its domestic investments as the Gulf state seeks to strengthen local companies and attract more private capital.
