{"id":6615,"date":"2026-08-18T17:19:59","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T14:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/relinvestmentsgroup.com\/?p=6615"},"modified":"2026-08-19T03:23:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T00:23:45","slug":"pribyl-nab-v-tretem-kvartale-vyrosla-na-9-do-1-28-mlrd-dollarov-na-fone-rosta-obemov-kreditovaniya-i-depozitov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/relinvestmentsgroup.com\/en\/pribyl-nab-v-tretem-kvartale-vyrosla-na-9-do-1-28-mlrd-dollarov-na-fone-rosta-obemov-kreditovaniya-i-depozitov\/","title":{"rendered":"NAB Q3 profit rises 9% to $1.28b as loans and deposits grow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Total gross loans rose 6%, with both business and home lending volumes expanding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">National Australia Bank (NAB) recorded a statutory net profit of $1.28b (A$1.8b) for the Q3 2026 period that ended in June, according to a filing at the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Profit is higher by 9% year-on-year (YoY) and a 32% increase than the average of the first two quarters, the bank said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Unaudited cash earnings are up 4% YoY to $1.3b ($1.83b) during the same quarter, and 2% than the H1 2026 quarterly average.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">NAB said it saw good volume growth and well managed margins, offset by higher costs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Net operating income is $3.91b (A$5.5b), a 5% YoY increase than a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Total gross loans and acceptances rose 6% YoY to $580.95b (A$817.4b). Australian business lending rose 2% to A$352.4b, including 4% growth from business &amp; private banking. Home lending also grew 4% to A$451.4b.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Deposit balances grew 7% YoY to $487.13b (A$685.4b) and is 2% higher than in end-March 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Net interest margin (NIM) declined 2 basis points (bps) to 1.79%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Expenses fell 19%. A key driver of expenses are changes to the NAB Group\u2019s software capitalisation policy in H1 2026, resulting in a higher proportion of investment spend expensed in Q3, NAB said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">NAB also saw higher technology costs, increased depreciation and amortization, and higher payroll remediation costs, partially offset by productivity benefits, it said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Group common equity tier 1 (CET1) ratio was 11.89% (Level 1) as of June, compared with 11.53% in March.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Total gross loans rose 6%, with both business and home lending volumes expanding.
