WaveBL and TradeWaltz have signed an integration agreement aimed at expanding digital trade finance connectivity into Japan, linking two major trade digitisation platforms and enabling the exchange of electronic trade documents between their networks.<\/p>\n
The agreement will allow users of the TradeWaltz platform, including major Japanese banks and corporates, to access electronic bills of lading and structured trade finance document presentations generated through WaveBL\u2019s network.<\/p>\n
TradeWaltz is backed by a consortium that includes Japan\u2019s three megabanks, MUFG, SMBC and Mizuho. The integration gives WaveBL users access to one of the world\u2019s largest trade finance ecosystems while enabling TradeWaltz participants to connect with WaveBL\u2019s network of carriers, banks and corporates.<\/p>\n
The companies said the integration will support fully digital presentation of documents for letters of credit and collection transactions, helping banks and corporates reduce reliance on paper documentation and accelerate processing times.<\/p>\n
Noam Rosenfeld, CEO of WaveBL, said the agreement represents an important step in expanding digital trade connectivity into Japan and supporting the transition to digital trade finance workflows.<\/p>\n
Takahiro Sato, President and CEO of TradeWaltz, said the integration would help users participate in a broader global trade and finance ecosystem while supporting future trade finance standards built on digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The agreement reflects continued momentum behind electronic trade documents as banks, carriers and corporates seek greater interoperability between digital trade platforms.<\/p>\n
