Asialink Group of Companies becomes first Philippine non-bank financial institution to secure a syndicated term loan facility from Standard Chartered Bank after closing a $75m financing deal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis reflects global investor confidence in the company\u2019s growth and providing fresh capital to expand micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) loan financing at a time when lending to the sector remains below the prescribed quota,\u201d Asialink said.<\/p>\n With the new funding, Asialink Group\u2019s loan portfolio is projected to grow to $6.48b in December 2025 from $5.79b in June 2025. This is set to provide broader access to capital for small business owners often left behind by traditional lenders.<\/p>\n \u201cBy pooling resources from multiple lenders, the syndicated loan provides Asialink Group with a larger and more stable capital base, enabling it to scale its lending operations faster and reach more MSMEs nationwide,\u201d the NBFI said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMSME lending continues to fall short of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) target, showing there\u2019s still much work to be done to make financing truly inclusive,\u201d said Robert B.
